1. James Henry Counts was born on 30 Nov 1844 in St Genevieve, Missouri. He died on 4 Sep 1924 in Clear Creek, Brown Co, Texas. He was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Brown County, Texas. 1880 US census - Brown County Texas appointed Sheriff of Brown County - 3/8/1 871 - could not qualify. Re-appointed 7/22/1872 - Note: Sworn in 3 Aug 1872 as sheriff of Brown Co, TX; resigned 4/13/1873 J. Henry COUNTS was appointed on March 8, 1871, but couldn’t qualify. This is not in the State Election Register. This was the second time he had been appointed, but the first time he had served. Perfect henry counts always, I have got more info here about first generation and it was buired in clear creek always. James henry counts appointed and had served the improving the chances with us.
