This unique program for children is an exciting aspect of fulfilling the Art Council’s mission of fostering the arts here in Brownwood!
Children will have a chance to grind pigments and use their hands to paint on a variety of natural surfaces, then also work with brushes and more modern paints to discover the differences in techniques. It is also an introduction to pictorial imagery, stone arrangement, and sculpture.
They will go home with their creations, along with new knowledge of Prehistoric art, how it was discovered, and the importance of all art --it can make an impact for thousands of years!
The event will start at 10 am and end at 11:30 am, this is not a come-and-go, children will be placed into age groups and rotate around to different stations. There are limited tickets, purchased tickets cannot be refunded.
*Please note that registration will ask questions for each participant and requires an email (we cannot take this off for each participant so just list the same email as the one ordering). Thank you!
