Free street event featuring pet adoptions and various vendors on N. Broadway between the Museum's main building and the Historic Jail. The 5th annual Pet Block Party is a free Museum spring outdoor event to welcome pets and their people. There will be adoption opportunities for the local shelter and one of the rescue groups in our area. Shop with local vendors, participate in our photo stations, and enjoy a nice day outside!
Join us for an afternoon of tea to celebrate International Tea Day and America's 250th Anniversary, inspired by Martha Washington. Get dressed up and experience a community Tea experience and see some specialized exhibits at the Museum! Enjoy delicious treats, a variety of teas, and special exhibits. Dress up for high tea if you wish!
June 13, 2026 - "Every Kid is an Artist!" - Kid's art program. Every year, the museum dedicates a program featuring different art techniques. This year will look at how every kid is an artist and will practice different painting styles.
Join the museum as we journey to the prehistoric world of dinosaurs, fossils, rocks, minerals, and more. This program will feature various hands-on activities and crafts at stations throughout the museum, educating and exciting dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages.
September 12, 2026 - Museum Gala, "Brown County in the 1880's" - Mark your calendars for the third annual Museum Gala, Brown County in the 1880s, supporting the Brown County Museum of History Educational Programs for Children. The theme this year will celebrate the spirit of the wild western frontier prevalent during the founding of the county.
October 31, 2026 - Haunted Jail - The Museum is excited to bring back the annual Haunted Jail. This year, they are bringing the haunted jail experience back to its roots. This will not be your typical haunted house experience and instead will move through the jail stealthily on the lookout for things that go bump in the night.
